PAD 117 - A Leaf Out of Damien's Book!

Day 117 and I went on a camera forum meeting at London Bridge. I found these people eating in a shaft of light at Borough Market and thought back to Damien Demolder's Wratten Lecture. Near the beginning he demonstrated a technique to isolate figures by deliberately underexposing when they are lit by sunlight and the rest of the scene is in shade. The camera's centre weighted metering did a good job of exposing for the highlights, which is just as well as they moved before I could dial in any underexposure.
The girl needed a bit more exposure, which I applied using the Adjustment Brush as part of the Raw conversion in Lightroom. I also needed to create a darker layer in Photoshop to remove some lighter areas in the background and used a layer mask to rub through over the figures.
