Day 123 and at the beginning of this project my daughter's boyfriend, who is a keen ornithologist, set me a challenge to take a portrait of a bird during the year. Some subjects were dismissed as being too easy, swans and pigeons amongst them. Later on, whilst out on a walk with him, we saw some geese and these too were added to the prohibited list. So what about gulls, Josh?

Re: PAD 122 - Gull
Good news and bad news. The shot has been accepted as a portrait, even if black headed gulls are nearly as "common as pigeons". The not so good news is that the new challenge is to take an image of a bird in flight. That will require something seriously large. Bird, lens or hide.
