Day 156 and an experiment with some newly acquired flash equipment, firing a wirelessly controlled flash through a softbox. The flowers were in the shade, so the flash both helped bring out the colours and froze movement caused by the wind.
This garlic is in the garden, although it got there by a circuitous route. It normally grows wild in the churchyard in Abbotsbury, Dorset, where it is said to have been brought back from the Middle East by crusaders during the Middle Ages. A single tuber was carefully nurtured a few years ago and there now are several of these attractive plants dotted around the garden.

Re: PAD 156 - Tamed Garlic
I must add that posting this image was very satisfying as it finally allowed me to catch up with my PAD postings, other than today's which has yet to be taken. Around a month ago I got stuck choosing some of my selections and doing the post processing. Before I knew it, a backlog of a couple of weeks or so quickly built up. A lesson to try and keep matters more under control in future.

Must admit I was thinking you might have decided to cancel or adjust the parameters of your project!

I fully intend to inflict my images on you for a while longer yet.
