Day 172 and the idea was to mark the longest day of the year by taking an inage using a long exposure. Despite being the official start of summer, it was dull for most of the day and conditions only brightened in the evening, when I thought I would capture the moving branches of the trees in the local wood. Unfortunately, the results did not reflect my intentions. Rather than showing movement in the leaves to contrast against the montionless trunk and branches, the leaves just came out as an uninteresting blurred mass. A shorter exposure time might have worked better. This is the best of an indifferent bunch of shots.
Part of the intention of this project is gain experience by trying new things. These will not always work, but in may ways there is more to be learnt from what does not work well.
