POTD 13 March 2014 - Fun With a Fisheye

A trip to the British Museum with my latest toy, a body cap fixed aperture fisheye lens which I got as a "freebie" with a recent camera purchase. Boy is this thing fuzzy. Admittedly I did not have high hopes of what is a comparatively inexpensive lens, but £89 is currently being demanded for this optic, the true worth of which is a lot closer to what I "paid". I am not surprised that Olympus is giving them away

Anyway, here is a rather hackneyed view of the British Museum's Great Court given a fisheye twist.

Panasonic DMC-G3
Olympus Fisheye 9 mm f/8 (18 mm equivalent for 35 mm)
1/100 sec
f/8
ISO 250

It turns out that this lens performs much better than I thought and there was user error. Quite an achievement with such a simple to use lens. More information at this post:
