Adobe has introduced a "Guided Upright" function into the subscription version of Lightroom, but in line with its policy for releasing new features will not make it available for Lightroom 6 which is sold with a perpetual licence for a one-off payment. There are other updates and bug fixes for both versions.

The last update to Lightroom was uneventful and there were no issues which required Adobe to release an emergency patch. Hopefully the company has learnt from previous episodes and now has more robust testing procedures in place, but the usual caveats apply until it has a proven track record of reliability. Unless the new version has something you really need, it is better to wait a while and leave others to find any problems.

Re: Latest Lightroom and ACR Updates
So I'm finally getting around to Lightroom 6 - or at least trying to!
I eventually found the download page for standalone Lightroom versions - not with any help from Adobe though - but trying to find where to buy the license ... they seem to have eradicated all traces of non-CC versions from the main Lightroom website. :/
After a lot of searching (and frankly being tempted to see if I could locate a serial number through other means), I eventually found someone pointing out that if you go to http://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/software.html it's there (under "Most Popular") with a regular "Buy" option, after which is the ability to select upgrade. Bit of a crappy checkout process and the confirmation page didn't load, but after a couple of minutes later the order emails came through, so now I'm all set.
Currently on Lightroom 3, so the feature I'm most looking forward to? I'll no longer need to convert my D750 NEFs to DNG!

Re: Latest Lightroom and ACR Updates
The "buy" link you gave has the prices in US$. Try this one for sterling - https://www.adobe.com/uk/products/catal ... moid=KLXMI
I found the buy page fairly quickly using the "How To Buy" dropdown option on the main menu and selecting all products, but it is not a particularly intuitive process. It looks to me as though Adobe have tried to simplify things and taken it it a bit too far. Until I followed your instructions, I did not realise full purchase and upgrade options were on the same "buy" button, which was not helped by the "Adobe FrameMaker (2015 release)" just below being shown as "upgrade from". That meant I was looking for a separate option for the Lightroom upgrade. Have these guys ever heard of usability testing, I wonder?
