Billed as London's biggest camera hobby show, CameraWorld is organising a free event in central London on Saturday, 29 October. Given the size and popularity of The Photography Show at Birmingham's NEC, it really is surprisng that more does not happen in London. Details are sketchy at present, but it is possible to register an interest.

Looks like a very generic photography trade expo. The impossible project camera looked interesting but depends on price.

Sure there will be the trade show side of things and the possibility of lower prices than usual, but talks and photo walks are also on offer which raises the interest for me.
What else would you like to see at such a show?
Re: CameraWorld Show - 29 October 2016
All too often the talks are just about gear and even the photowalks at this one are about gear too. That's not to say they can't be interesting but thinly veiled advertisments are not as appealing to me as one where the focus is on the end result, not what you used to shoot it

Gavin Hoey is usually entertaining and I have been on a couple of photo walks sponsored by Fuji with Matt Hart which were not just about their gear and were genuinely useful without overly pushing the product. You need to make a call, of course, but all of these talks could have some benefit. The subtle sell could be the better approach on the part of the manufacturer.

Prompted by an article which has only just been published on the Amateur Photographer website*, I have checked for updates about the show. Most of the various presentations are not quite as free as I thought, in the main having a £10 ticket price. Admittedly this is offset by a £10 credit to spend at the show, but is only of value to those who buy something. Given the manufacturer centric nature of the talks, this does not feel like the best approach by the organisers. I find myself in agreement with David about whether the event is worthwhile.

Just realised that this coincides with the Jurassic Coast weekend.
