Re: Norfolk and/or Suffolk
Lindsay and I are booked in and also got the £116 price.
Premier Inn almost certainly uses something called a Revenue Management System, which seeks to optimise income by balancing price and demand. A lot of companies which sell time based products, e.g. airlines, car hire, hotels etc. will use such a system. With these schemes it is better to sell a room or whatever for a small amount of money rather than let it go unoccupied when it does not earn anything. It is possible that a large number of bookings over a short period will cause the price to rise. When I booked at Ipswich last year, the price changed three times in a two hour period. Not in my favour, either.

Re: Norfolk and/or Suffolk
Thank you everyone for posting your booking confirmations.
I hope we're all in the same place as the Premier is: Norwich East (Broadlands/A47), I inadvertently typed Brooklands. The link of page 1 was at least correct. Silly me.
Now we have some idea of firm numbers as a group we've got plenty of time to plan out the weekend.
Regards.

Re: Norfolk and/or Suffolk
Hi All,
Our trip is not far away now and hopefully the weather should be kind to us.
I've been asked by several members who are coming along for an itinerary.
I accept that many might want to do their own things while in Norfolk and that's fine, but for the rest, especially those who have never been there before (like me) a draft itinerary should be a good starting off point.
As I've previously mentioned Norwich City are at home on the Saturday so the town will be busy in the afternoon. That said, the evening should be an ideal time to explore the town and meet up for a meal. Sarah Shakespeare has kindly check on some of the eateries and has provisionally booked the group in for evening meals. We can always change the venue/times/locations nearer the time if we have any alternative suggestions.
To avoid a lengthy post I'm emailing out to everyone the draft/suggested itinerary and will welcome any suitable responses or alternative suggestions.
By my reckoning (depending on partners coming) our group is between 18 and 20 strong.
Regards,
Tom
