I was at Wisley today and noticed that the annual butterfly event in the glass house starts on this Saturday, 12 January and finishes on 24 February. Anyone fancy a trip there while it is on? There were a few butterflies around today, which are probably the early hatchings.

Sounds good to me, a chance to use my favorite macro lens.
Let me know when you have a date set.
Sally will probably come as well,

Re: Butterflies at Wisley
All the people who have expressed an interest in this outing are free during the week, so I propose that we go to Wisley on Thursday, 14 February. We can make the final travelling arrangements once numbers are confirmed, but I expect to set off between 9:00 - 9:30.

Re: Butterflies at Wisley
There are just three of us going, so I suggest that we take just one car and share the travelling expenses. We can meet at the home of whoever ends up driving. Any volunteers?
I suggest we aim to leave by 9:30 to give the rush hour traffic a chance to ease.

Re: Butterflies at Wisley
A very enjoyable day, thanks to my companions for all the help given. If any one is interested in going the opening has been extended to 3rd March.
You can see some very interesting species as per example.
