Re: The Photography Show - 17 March 2018
The point about having one person buy the train tickets is that we can get seats together and travel as a group, if that is what people want to do.
Re: The Photography Show - 17 March 2018
Hi
As with David, just to confirm that I've purchased my entry ticket and return rail ticket.
I'll be returning at 15.40 as I need to get back a bit earlier.
Regards,
Tom

Re: The Photography Show - 17 March 2018
I have now booked the tickets for five people on the outward journey on the 09:23 service from Euston and four people on the return journey from Birmingham International at 17:20. We are in Coach B for the outward journey and as close to David B as I could manage. I will have the tickets next time I am at the club, which will be either 24 or 31 January. I will definitely be there on 31 January as I am doing the digital projection for the Master Trophy.
If you have booked a discounted Virgin ticket you might be out of luck as their website states they are "Only valid on booked Virgin Trains services".
That's a good idea, although my friend Malcolm lives in east London and will meet us at Euston. Given that we have no flexibility on taking a different train other than the service we are booked on, I suggest that we meet at 08:00 which allow a bit of leeway if there is any travel disruption. There are trains to Victoria at 08:04, 08:08 and 08:15 which gives us a range of options and all of which will allow to get to Euston before 09:00.

Fares from Watford Junction to East Croydon start at £11.30 (£7.45 with RailCard) or £4.90 (£3.25 with RailCard) to Harrow & Wealdstone where Freedom Pass kicks in!
I still like this option.

Hello people it seems I cannot go on the 17th March to the Photography Show so I have a spare ticket on the train. If anybody would like one please email me at conquy@btinternet.com or telephone me on 020 8777 1318. The ticket costs £12. We meet at 8 am on the Saturday at East Croydon station.

I've just checked the TfL website - if you have a FREEDOM PASS you can travel from Watford Junction to East Croydon on Southern at no additional charge.

That's very impressive. My friend, who lives in East London, is coming along for the day so I will stay on the train with him before we go our separate ways at Euston.

A reminder that the sales window for discounted entry tickets to the show closes at midnight on 14 March. You will need to have a show ticket as that supports the additional discount which I obtained on the rail fares.

For those wishing to travel from East Croydon together, we will meet at 08:00 am at the entrance to the station. We are on the 09:23 train from Euston and return on the 17:20 unless you have made alternative arrangements.
I have checked the tube network for weekend closures and there are no engineering works on the Victoria Line scheduled for Saturday.
