Photography is not normally permitted within St Paul's Cathedral, although I am not sure how they can regulate the tide of tourists with their cameraphones. (Divine intervention, maybe?) On Thursdays evenings throughout August that changes as there are special late night openings when photography is not only allowed, it is actively encouraged. The only stipulation is that all cameras must be handheld. The first two evenings have passed but there are still two left to go. The link below has details, including information about the restrictions on what equipment can be used.

Shame I missed this as I could have popped over there after work. Watched Derek's video and agree St Pauls has plenty of good images, was also amused by his voiceover for its thesp tones and measured pronunciation.
