Hi Mike,
Lovely B&W image that took a lot of work to come together.
This is assuming the second image in your blog was used to achieve this final image.

Thanks, Iggy.
Yes, the second image is the original shot processed in Lightroom without any adjustments.

I like the range of tones in the photo. When you look at the original it shows how well the camera handles the dynamic range. And all without having to use a very high ISO.

Thanks for the feedback, Frank. I agree that it is surprising how much detail can be recovered from a seemingly blown highlight. Having been used to photography in the days of film, ISO 3200 seems very high to me! It is the sort of shot which digital imaging makes possible. I cannot imagine going back to the days of Kodachrome 25 and the like.

Hi Laura
I will have one thread per image and will also have an entry on the Tandridge 52 Flickr group. My main post each week will be on my blog where I will write about the selected image and will also show some of the other shots for the week if I think they are of interest. There will be links to the blog article both on the forum and Flickr posts. It is quite a long process to complete, so there might be a delay before I am able to post.
Using the "Active topics", "Unread posts" and "New post" shortcuts can help identify the latest updates on the forum. You will need to be logged in to see the latter two.
