I believe the seeing of unrelated shapes in objects is called Pareidolia. Sadly, it does not seem to feature in Japanese culture. If my understanding is correct, Wabi-Sabi is the celebration of beauty in imperfection.

As an aside, when I took this shot I realised that how the background was rendered would be a part of the image. Consequently, I used a lens which is noted for its unique bokeh, which is a Japanese term.
