Re: DAVID'S PHOTOS OF THE MONTH
May 2008 saw my visit to the Mid-Hants Railway (Watercress Line). I need to return there to see what has changed.
Access is at Alton which is shared with Southwestern Railway. This photograph shows the end of Network Rail with the MHR the other side of the gate.
Alresford is the western extent of the railway..

Re: DAVID'S PHOTOS OF THE MONTH
2013 and a trip behind a steam locomotive to Canterbury.
This is a Southern Railway "Battle of Britain" class number 34067 'Tangmere" arriving at East Croydon. It was approaching platform 6 while I was photographing it on platform 4. It was a mad rush to change platforms before it departed!

Re: DAVID'S PHOTOS OF THE MONTH
May 2014.
When I visit the London Wetlands Centre in Barnes I catch a train at Clapham Junction. The route includes a stop at Wandsworth Town which I have thought looked interesting. So in May 2014 I travelled from Clapham Junction to WT to explore the surrounding area.
This photograph shows the River Wandle emptying into the River Thames.

2011 and a visit to Spring Park (near Addington). The pond is small but it does provide the opportunity to capture (on film) some interesting insects.

Re: DAVID'S PHOTOS OF THE MONTH
Hi David,
Nice, interesting set of images of the past in your collection below that you shot in May.
One day I will get to the London Wetlands and may even stop over in Wandsworth to follow the River Wandle.
All the best,
Iggy

Re: DAVID'S PHOTOS OF THE MONTH
June 2009 - Back on the Bluebell Railway
I took advantage of my line side pass and visited West Hoathley Station. When the Bluebell reached this spot the residents of West Hoathly didn't want the station reinstated so all that's left of the former platform is a raised, overgrown area. The station was built close to the tunnel.
