Adobe Photoshop Photography Program

Postby Mike Farley » Thu 21 Nov 2013, 10:25

For a limited period Adobe is offering its Photoshop Photography Program at £8-78 a month to everyone, regardless of whether or not they own a qualifying Photoshop CS product. You will need to act quickly as the deal is only available until 2 December. Oh, and you will need to trust Adobe with your credit/debit card information.

Thom Hogan's view of the deal is here.

And no, I have not had any e-mails from Adobe either, nor do I have much confidence in its employees being able to provide reassurance that there will not be a repeat of September's hack. That said, it does seem to be easy to switch from the full Creative Cloud program and I am currently waiting on my new credit card to be able to do just that.

Don't forget that you also get 20 GB of online storage, Behance and Prosite. Given that a hosted site can cost from £40 a year, Prosite alone goes a long way to making the package good value, especially as you can have multiple websites.

True, that was also a draw - I won web hosting space earlier in the year but after trialling it out the site design and management tools are horrific. Hoping Adobe's are better.

The example websites all have a very similar look and feel to them, which suggests that there are limited configuration options.

Check out Lori Byrne's site at top right of the examples. Makes you wonder why a website developer is using Prosite.

A reminder to those who do not have a qualifying version of Photoshop CS that today is the last opportunity to take advantage of this offer.

Adobe has extended its Photoshop Photography Program for existing owners of Photoshop CS3+ until 28 February. This is not currently one of its headline offers on its website and I only found out about this by chance.
