Re: Annual Club Dinner
I want to go but She-who-must-be-obeyed is now talking about having her 50th birthday dinner on the same day (and at Galicia's believe it or not!).
Trying to get it sorted before next Wednesday, 31st, so i can confirm.

Re: Annual Club Dinner
if the portions at Galicia really are generous - would it be possible to order a half size one, or two starters ?

Re: Annual Club Dinner
My wife & I typically order 3 tapas between us and find that we almost finish it. So if you happy to share with others you can order a single plate and benefit from a little of everything maybe.
Re: Annual Club Dinner
If it were tapas it would be perfect but the Xmas menu looks different ? Maybe I can order my meal off the ordinary menu ? I won't be able to manage 3 courses anyway.

Dear All this is just to ask who is going to the annual dinner. I already have 24 people going, but would like to know who else is going. Some people haven't been to the club for a couple of weeks. Hope to hear from you Wally

Re: Annual Club Dinner
The Galicia Restaurant is booked for all those who have either paid Wally a deposit or stated their intention on this thread to attend. If you have not yet paid your deposit, can you let Wally have £5 per person ASAP. If anyone else wishes to attend the dinner but has yet put their name down, can you respond to this thread and let Wally have your deposit. This will be subject to the restaurant being able to accommodate any additional people, which it is currently able to do, although there is no guarantee how long this situation will last.
The restaurant does not normally start its Xmas menu until 1 December, but if we let them know the numbers in sufficient time they can do it as a special for us. Since some people have expressed an interest in having the tapas instead, obviously this will also be an option.
Could everyone who is attending post their preferences to this thread by midhight, Thursday 15 November. For anyone having the Xmas meal, can you state your choices for each of the courses. Those who prefer tapas can order on the night. This will be the default option for anyone who does advise their choice from the Xmas menu. From experience, two tapas makes a very substantial meal, but the hungry always have the option of ordering more!
