Photoshop CC Enhanced

Adobe has just announced enhancements to all its Creative Cloud offerings, including Photoshop CC. Other than a mobile version for iPhone, Lightroom seems to be unchanged. There is also a new monthly $9.99/£8.78 Photoshop/Lightroom package which replaces the older one, but has less cloud storage.

Also Thom Hogan's thoughts. It appears that Adobe's announcement lacks clarity, but no doubt all will becom clear in the next few days. So far as I am concerned, as an owner of a qualifying version of Photoshop CS, the deal I have with Adobe was supposed to be fixed and I will be less than pleased if Adobe is reneging on that promise.

There was preliminary support for the E-M10 in the previous version of ACR and I have been using that without any apparent issues. Quite what "preliminary support" meant was unclear, especially as the sensor is the same as the E-M5 which was already fully supported. I would not have thought that there would be much difference, if any.

I have not yet installed the latest update, so what I did not appreciate was that rather than the continuous improvement which Adobe was talking about last year, it has actually released a new version of Photoshop CC. That does explain why it appears twice in the list of apps, which initially had me had puzzled. Thom Hogan's take is here, although it does seem that provided Adobe has not broken any third party plug-ins, there is little point in keeping the older version.
