Yet More Nikon Woes?

This time it's a lens, the new 300 F/4 VR, which is giving rise to concerns with double images occurring when image stabilisation is engaged. The linked report is from Ming Thein, but it seems that others have experienced the same thing.

Since I posted, DPReview has updated its article with details of similar problems it has found in other Nikon lenses.

And Thom Hogan is none too impressed, either. It does not seem to pay being a Nikon early adopter. :(
