There seems to be something seriously wrong with the Attachment option.
I've been trying to import some images from the portrait evening but no matter how much I reduce the size of the file I'm still told the file is too large. WHY?

Re: WHY CAN'T I IMPORT IMAGES
I'm having the same problem... Despite the stated max requirements I've been having to reduce the image size to a max of 800 x 600 as it won't accept 1024 x 768 regardless of how low the resolution is... and I've gone down to 100mb !

Re: WHY CAN'T I IMPORT IMAGES
Hmm, I have just succesfully posted a couple of images in a test post - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1752.
The strange thing is that the file size of the images is not being reported correctly on the forum, both should be under 150KB.
This looks like one for Peter?

Re: WHY CAN'T I IMPORT IMAGES
Nothing was changed (yet), so any image that worked yesterday should work now.
Rose, please try a 1024x768 image again, I've increased the limit to 1025 in case the check is "less than" instead of "less than or equal".
Mike, that's probably a red herring (I'll explain why later, to avoid confusing this thread).
I do have some thoughts on what's going on, but quick checks haven't helped and I don't have the time to investigate further right now.
If anyone gets an error on what should be a valid image, please provide:
* The exact error text (either copy&paste or take a screenshot).
* When/where it occurs (i.e. when selecting the file, after upload, when previewing, when submitting the post).
* What browser name and version you're using (i.e. Internet Explorer 11, Firefox 37, Safari 8, etc).
* The image causing the problem (send it via private message, or via email).
That'll help me narrow down what's wrong and hopefully fix it.

Re: WHY CAN'T I IMPORT IMAGES
Hello Dave,
Using the Attachment on the bottom of the email, the suggestion when I tried to load an image was that upto a size of 250KB was acceptable. I tried every which way with sizes of image and only when the image was 100 KB was it accepted and reproduced in a nice large image in Rose's Caption competition.
Good Luck,
Iggy

Re: WHY CAN'T I IMPORT IMAGES
I have just run a quick test using a test id and have uploaded some images without difficulty. The browser was Firefox.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1758
Looking at the screen shots, the file size is not too big which leaves only pixel dimensions exceeding the limit as the most probable cause. PEBKAC, I wonder?
