If anyone is wondering what they should ask for in their Xmas stocking, Mike Johnston ofThe Online Photographer has a few suggestions. My experience has been that he is reliable in his choice of reading when I have followed them. Where I already have a copy of those he is recommending here, I have found them to be worthwhile reads. And if you do not receive at Xmas a book that you want, there is nothing to stop you acquiring a copy at any time of the year.

If you do follow any of these up, do remember where you saw them and use Mike Johnston's Amazon UK link so that he receives an affiliation fee which helps supports his site and a fellow photographer. Two house moves in the space of a year has rather taken the wind out his sales recently, but he still remains one of the best bloggers out there. He has a long track record, having just celebrated the blog's 10th anniversary, and once he gets properly settled in his latest home I am sure that he will return to full form. Buying through his Amazon link does not cost you anything as you pay the same price regardless, but you do need to access Amazon directly through the link to make your selection and purchase in the same session. Items already in your shopping basking do not qualify, neither do those added to a wishlist should you eventually acquire the book.
