Re: The Photography Show - Saturday, 19 March 2016
I have the train tickets and will bring them to tomorrow night's meeting (2 March) for collection. A couple of people have paid me already and I'll drop an e-mail to everyone else with the details.

Re: The Photography Show - Saturday, 19 March 2016
Tickets were all handed out last night. Hopefully in the correct combinations and numbers, but let me know if there are any questions.
Our party looks like this:
In addition, Emmanuel told me yesterday that he is now able to confirm he will be going as well and will make his own travel arrangements. I have informed him that we are travelling in Coach D in each direction.
This is the link to obtain a 25% discount* on the train fare for anyone who needs it (note that a prepaid exhibition entry ticket is required): https://www.virgintrains.co.uk/nec
Our train times between Euston and Birmingham International are the same as last year, so I suggest that we repeat the arrangements we made then as they worked well. We have the option of travelling independently to Euston or meeting at East Croydon Station at 8:15 am, which should allow sufficient time to get to Euston for our connection to Birmingham. Hopefully the Southern Railway will behave itself, which means that there will time for a reviving coffee when we get to Euston. If people could respond to this thread to say whether or not they will be at East Croydon, we will not wait there unnecessarily for someone who is not turning up.
Finally, a reminder of the train times to and from Birmingham:
* Last year someone who booked late found that the cheapest fare was in first class for one of the legs. It's worth checking.
Our party looks like this:
- Davidb
- Rose + two guests
- Graham C (train ticket one way to Birmingham only)
- David N
- Tom
- Peter Boughton
- Myself + 1 guest

Thanks Mike. I will be travelling from Hayes station so will meet you at Euston, along with my friend Julie and her husband.

Likewise, I'll aim for 8:15 East Croydon, but don't wait - if I'm not there I'll be on following train and catch up at either Victoria or Euston.

OK, with the exception of Rose and her friends, we shall be meeting at East Croydon at 08:15 am. There are a number of trains going to Victoria which will get us to Euston via the Victoria Line in good time, the first one being at 08:23. As people have said not to wait if they do not make it by 08:15, that is probably the one we will go for. I have checked the TfL website and there are currently no engineering works planned on the tube which could affect us.

Just in case no one has yet bought their show tickets, online bookings at the reduced rate are only available until this Thursday, 17 March. All the discount codes I have seen state that they expire the day before. After that the tickets will be the full on the door price of £18.
A reminder that possession of a prepaid show ticket is a condition of travel for the discounted rail tickets I purchased on everyone's behalf.
