Re: Hurry, Photoshop Elements 11 - £32.99
This is a US only deal and there are very few American retailers which are prepared to ship outside of the States. B & H Photo in New York is one of the few exceptions. The Adobe serial number which is required to activate the product contains a geographic code, so even if it is possible to pick up a US copy, the purchaser will require to source upgrades from the US if they want to update the software. Just one of Adobe's ploys to get us to pay a higher price in the UK.

Hmm I couldn't see any US only restrictions and got all the way to final checkout stages after entering the code for the Download version of the software. Where did you see it was US only?

Oops, I did not see the download version.
Whilst Officemax will only ship physical boxes within the US, there do not appear to be any restrictions on the download. Whether Adobe will play ball is another matter, although it is difficult to see how it could implement an effective ban. As software downloads are non refundable, it would be worth checking with Officemax before committing to any purchase.
My comments about the US serial number still apply. As I cannot see the option to purchase an upgrade on the Officemax site, it might cause subsequent problems when CS7 is released next year. My understanding is that an upgrade purchased in the UK cannot be applied to a US copy of the software and vice versa, which is a policy Adobe has had in place for some years. The husband of a former member puchased a US copy of Photoshop while he was working in the States and she had to purchase the upgrade from B & H Photo.
