Nikon and the Grey Market

Interesting article by Thom Hogan about some of the aspects of how the camera grey market works. It seems that Nikon sometimes dumps surplus inventory into one of their markets, usually Asian, which then causes problems elsewhere. Hogan also notes that at present prices in Europe are substantially higher than in the US, which is a further inducement to customers to bypass the official channels.
