This is the last of the images I am sharing from my trip to Malta as a Photo of the Day. It is an eye painted on the side of a boat which I found in the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. The purpose is to protect the vessel by warding off the "evil eye", a practice that has been going on in the Mediterranean since the time of the ancient Greeks and possibly even earlier than that.
