PAD 8 Alternative

I nearly went with this shot of a grass seed head for my PAD yesterday, but in the end the out of focus area on the left was a bit too much for me. Unfortunately, I had shot it wide open at f/2.8 at a focal length of 100 on APS-C to minimise the background, but it left me a bit short of DOF for the subject. As with the magnolia bud shot, I used flash for the shot.
