I was saddened to learn of Michael Reichmann's death on 18 May. He had been suffering from cancer for a number of years. Although I never met him, his various contributions to the Luminous-Landscape website, which he started 17 years ago with his friend Chris Sanderson, made me feel as if I knew him. In particular I would pick out the videos he made with Jeff Schewe on processing images and his insightful field tests of new cameras as being highlights. The videos are still available for the price of a $12 annual subscription to Luminous-Landscape, which represents a real bargain in my view. While he never did formal camera reviews, his field test reports succintly covered everything which someone considering a camera purchase really needed to know. Thank you, Michael, you will be missed.
